Colourpop Mini Haul // Makeup Review

Colourpop Mini_Haul

1. "Aquarius" Lippie Stix
It is a "crème" finish and it was super creamy and soft, there was no tugging and the pigment easily came off. The formula is as great as I've heard and it smells so good! The only thing I would say is that the color is very different than I thought it would be. In the picture it looks like a nude with a pink shift, but in reality it had a lot more of a purple undertone. This difference was tiny though, and it's very pretty just the same. Definitely would recommend for any skin tone, since mine is pretty difficult to match a nude to. I have a tan/olive coloring.

2. "Aquarius" Lippie Pencil
This is the first lip liner that I have owned since I thought they were sooooo overrated, until I tried this one. I only really got it since I'm trying to grow my makeup collection and experiment with new things. Despite the pictures, it actually matches the Lippie Stix perfectly! It glides on like butter and does not feel chalky or heavy at all. It also does a great job defining my lips, even though I'm pretty sure that all lip liners do that.haha

3. "Vanity Fair" Super Shock Eyeshadow
Again, the picture was a bit different than the actual product. This angers me a bit, but the real thing was so pretty that I could hardly be mad for long. It was described as a silvery-taupe, but I see more of a pearlized brown. The formula is just so incredibly smooth that I slightly freaked out when I swatched it. I love the color, though it is a bit dark. It could work for a simple day look or an elegant look for going out.

4. "Birthday Boy" Special Edition Eyeshadow
I actually did not order this product, I got it for free! The day I placed my order happened to be the brand's 2nd Birthday and everyone got this special edition shadow. I haven't used it a whole bunch, but I really like it. It's very metallic and it's funny because it almost seems like the metallic version of "Vanity Fair." They work so well together and I am looking forward to when I have some real brushes to use them with.

I have heard so much about Colourpop and I think it's a great find for anyone! This is such a small portion of the Colourpop product line and I have yet to try them all. I have a second order coming in, so I will have some more reviews for you soon. Overall, I like the products very much and I think they were worth well over what I paid for them. Each item was only 5 DOLLARS!!! For the quality, that's just incredible. I'm already a huge fan, so stay tuned for my second order ;) Thanks for stopping by!

24 Hours in Monaco // Style Watch No. 3

Ah a city full of beautiful things, I've promised myself that I'll go one day. The mile-long city is known for its luxurious lifestyle and active royal family. The Grimaldi's have run not only the principality since 1297, they've slowly taken over the fashion world. With A-Listers around every corner, it's easy to see how difficult it would be to stand out. These royals have done it impeccably, the elegance is just unbelievable.

No. 1 on my list is just the most beautiful and stylish woman that I think I've ever seen. Beatrice Borromeo is an Italian heiress who married Pierre Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline. Beatrice is the daughter of the Count of Arona in Italy and her worldliness really shows through her work and her fashion sense.

Charlotte Casiraghi is a powerful woman in Europe, as the second child of Caroline, Princess of Monaco, she has contributed so much to the world of fashion and equestrian worlds. She is the face of Gucci and has a beautiful baby boy named Raphael.

The girl who is going to sweep the nation, I am sure of it. Her name is Pauline Ducruet and she was a Junior Olympic diver. Now at the age of 22, she is becoming an influential stylist and is currently studying a FOURTH language. Wow, you go girl. She has also been working in junction with her mother (Princess Stephanie of Monaco) on the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo

Well, there you have 'em, the style icons that I like to keep my eye on. I think a wealthy European principality is definitely at an advantage as far as branding and shows go, but we can always take inspiration right? From the younger generations to their parents, the House of Grimaldi does fashion in a very luxurious and sophisticated way. My favorite look out of all of these would for sure be Beatrice's wedding gown, its simplicity and elegance just puts me at peace. And of course, she looks beautiful too. Hope you liked it, and thanks for stopping by!

HAHA it's SUMMER // Movie Review

Let me tell you, time is flying by faster than possible... I cannot believe that 5 months has passed since the start of the year like this. I've always been told that time goes faster as you get older, but I didn't buy it until now. Well, it's summer now for me, and I am finally home. I could not be more excited, I have so many things I've wanted to do but I haven't had the time to! On the list is getting a summer job, getting into a workout routine, and blogging regularly. This is hopefully going to happen as I settle in, but I am also excited for the travel plans I have :). In June, I am taking a two week trip with my mom to New England and then for a week or so in July, I am going with my family to the keys.

Now I just went to the movies the other day with a friend, and we both fell madly in love with what we saw. You may have seen the previews for Me Before You, and it seemed a bit cliché to me, but  I could not have been more wrong. This movie captured my heart in so many ways: the costumes, characters, setting/scenery, storyline, etc. The producers and director really knew what they were doing with this. Emilia Clarke did a fantastic job as the adorable, big-hearted Louisa Clark who was hired as a companion to Will Trainer (Sam Claflin) who had been paralyzed in a road accident. Louisa is the most lovable and oddly confident character I have seen in a romance like this. She wears clothes that are out of this world and her good nature was such an inspiration. While I don't think I could ever be as selfless as she was, I can definitely try a little harder. Here are a just few of my favorite of Louisa's outfits from the movie, they take an open mind to fully appreciate ;).

Here are my ratings, and a disclaimer that these are my personal opinions just for fun>
Casting 10/10
Storyline/Predictability 8.5/10
Originality 9/10
Costumes 11/10 haha, obviously my favorite part of this movie
Soundtrack 9/10
Overall Quality 9/10

Alright so I won't spoil anything, but bring some kleenex to the theater because I definitely recommend that you go see it! If you like romantic stories, this one will play with your heart like play-doh. Thanks for stopping by!
